Any Tips On How To Prevent Shoulder Pain From Sleeping?
I sleep on my left shoulder a lot, and when my friends come over and spend the night, i let them have the bed, and i get the floor.
One night, i woke up to find a horrible pain in my shoulder, which is probably from sleeping the wrong way on hardwood floor.
But ever since that one night, the pain keeps getting worse and worse.
Every time i sleep on my bed and wake up the next morning on my left shoulder, the pain is back and unbearable. What should i do?

Any Doctors Please? Injured Rotator Cuff.?
I separated my a/c joint in my shoulder last saturday. This morning I went to the ER for severe shoulder pain and they said my a/c is fine and he thinks I have an injured rotator cuff now. He prescribed me darvocet and soma and told me to keep taking vicodin. I woke up to go into work (I work overnights) and I was in severe pain. I took another Darvocet, Soma, and Vicodin. 30 minutes pass and Im still in horrible pain. I cried the whole way to work and when I got there they sent me home to rest. I took another darvocet and Im still in a lot of pain. My discharge papers say go back to the ER if I get worse or am in severe pain. My question is if I go back is there anything they can do for me besides a pain injection? Im in a sling but is there a cast or splint they could use for my shoulder? Also is there a stronger pain medication I can take until I see an orthopedic surgeon? Thank you.

Recovery Expectations For Rotator Cuff Surgery?
Please no cut and paste from search engines, I’m looking to hear from people who have actually had the surgery.
I have a bone spur, torn rotator cuff and torn tendon. I know it’s 6-8 weeks general recovery time, but what are the week-to-week things I can expect after surgery (ie., horrible pain for x-days, improved pain for x-days, can begin to move after x-days.) I want to return to work as soon as possible. How realistic is that? I’m a wreck about what I’m reading about pain expectations, especially after reading some responses to a similar question. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…
I also get very VERY sick with general anesthesia and pain killers (Zofrain works sometimes). Thanks in advance to those who would recommend alternate treatments, but no thank you. Believe me I tried. I have to have it done. I’ve exhausted all other options and it’s almost three years now.
Thanks for your input.

Sore, Weak Shoulder Please Help May Be Torn Rotator Cuff???
Im a tree climber and about Four days ago while in a tree i was almost in a sit up position when my shoulder kinda popped and when i looked at it my shoulder was completly behind where it was supposed to be…after i got down from the tree it went back to its normal position…Now 4 days later it is sore and feels like it could pop back out when i try to pick up something moderatly heavy…when i rotate my shoulder a certain way it sounds like the muscle is tearing……Any ideas if its a rotator cuff tear, ligiments, or dislocated shoulder???? its not a horrible pain but def. uncomfortable and very sore….Im not sure if its even back in the socket???? Thanks in advance
