Has Anybody Had Rotator Cuff Repair And How Much Rehab Is There?

Yes I had arthroscopic surgery to mine and they removed a bone spur. I had to go to physical therapy 3 times a week for 1 month. But it could be sooner for you depending on how well you respond to your doctors treatment and the exercises needed for rehab. and strengthening. So I would estimate 4-6 weeks.

Locked Up Shoulder And Torn Rotator Cuff?

My husband will need surgery on his shoulder. He has a torn rotator cuff on his right shoulder but he is trying to explain to me that the doctors said it is locked up and they have to go up in there and unlock it. I just don’t know what he is talking about. Please explain. He is 350 miles away and only gets to come home on every other weekend so I cant be with him to go to his doctor’s appointment. I was hoping someone on here would understand and explain it to me. How does it get locked up but he still has some movement in it?

Any Doctors Please? Injured Rotator Cuff.?

I separated my a/c joint in my shoulder last saturday. This morning I went to the ER for severe shoulder pain and they said my a/c is fine and he thinks I have an injured rotator cuff now. He prescribed me darvocet and soma and told me to keep taking vicodin. I woke up to go into work (I work overnights) and I was in severe pain. I took another Darvocet, Soma, and Vicodin. 30 minutes pass and Im still in horrible pain. I cried the whole way to work and when I got there they sent me home to rest. I took another darvocet and Im still in a lot of pain. My discharge papers say go back to the ER if I get worse or am in severe pain. My question is if I go back is there anything they can do for me besides a pain injection? Im in a sling but is there a cast or splint they could use for my shoulder? Also is there a stronger pain medication I can take until I see an orthopedic surgeon? Thank you.

Okay, Rotator Cuff Questions.?

Okay, im jack and i have a rotator cuff problem :[
i hurt it about Nov 5th and i belive the cause was from playing raqcuetball and doing too man pushups / dips. I have stopped doing both since Nov 5th. I still feel a pressure/pain in my R shoulder when i do pushups.
i just started rehabing it by myself, i went to the doctors and she said it was just a strain and tje doctor said i should go get a mri, i called the mri placed and they said they didnt do that anymore and i just decided to do it on my own until i can contact my doctor.
okay here are my questions.
After i stretch and workout my rotator cuff, is it okay if i do pushups?
and if it isn’t okay when will it be okay?
