How Long Do You Suffer After Rotator Cuff Surgery?
It depends. if you have the right medication it should not be that painful.
I had the Magnusen procedure 27 years ago, for a recurrent shoulder dislocation. They just attached a back muscle on my arm with a pin on the bone, passing it in front of the articulation so I would not dislocate it again.
It was quite painful, they gave me Codeine, which did not work for me at all. Aspirin did a good job and it controlled the pain very well. I would say, I was in pain the first week until I found Aspirin.
The doctor told me to take my arm off the sling arm and move the articulation of the elbow daily but he did not say why so I did not do it too much, until I realized my articulation was beginning to be really stiff.
Now, 27 years later, I have no problem; I can dance, swim and do whatever I want despite having a small limited external rotation.
I did physiotherapy, meaning extensive stretching, and I still do it everyday.

How Do I Heal My Shoulder Or Rotator Cuff?
I have had a weak or sore shoulder or rotator cuff i don’t know which one but i’ve had it before and it would hurt when i would bench press and throw punches(right shoulder). I started a week ago doing tricep dips on my chair at home. Then i went to the gym yesterday and i was benching and i stopped after the first set cause my right shoulder started hurting. How do i heal this? My dad says aspirin and to put this cold thing on my shoulder. Give me some more advice such as stretches or something cause i really want to get my bench up.

Taking any prescription medication that was not prescribed for you by a doctor is never a good idea, although I know people that have done this. It is never a good practice because you may not be aware of any side effects of the medication.
Your neck or shoulder pain may be caused by having your arms raised in an awkward position for too long, with rest, the pain will subside on its own. Tension can cause neck and shoulder pain as well. The treatment for tension might be as simple as resting and massaging the affected areas. While performing some tasks you might begin to notice some discomfort. The discomfort might be telling you that the position you are in is not the proper position for the task. You might also be trying to lift too much weight, which might also cause a strain.
If you think something doesn’t feel right, stop and think about what you are doing and if you are doing it properly. Never overreach or stand with your arms above your head for extended periods, like painting or working at an improper angle. If you are, change your position before you develop neck and shoulder pain.
The best treatment for any pain is not to get it in the first place. This is done by proper rest, proper working angles and never overtaxing yourself. Stress can cause neck and shoulder pain, so try to reduce your stress levels and reduce the tension factor that may cause you neck or shoulder pain before it happens.
If you do develop any pain, try an OTC first and rest. If that doesn’t help you, there might be a more serious underlying problem that will require medical intervention to alleviate the pain.
